Junior Preschool (Children must be 3 years of age by September 30) classes:          Tues/Thurs mornings (9:00 - 11:40)           M/W/F afternoons (12:30- 3:10)     Senior Preschool (Children must be 4 years of age by September 30) classes:           M/W/F mornings (9:00 - 11:40)           T/W/Th/F afternoons (12:30 - 3:10)     Pre-K class (Children must be 5 years of age by December 31)           M/T/W/Th afternoons (12:30 - 3:10)     Honeybees (Children must be 2 years of age by March 31) class:           Tues/Thurs (12:30 - 2:30) Tuition Honeybees (2 1/2 yr olds):      $130/month Junior Preschool 2-day (3 yr olds):   $140/month Junior Preschool 3-day (3 yr olds):   $170/month Senior Preschool 3-day (4 yr olds):  $170/month Senior Preschool 4-day (4 yr olds):  $200/month Pre-K Program (5 year olds): $200/month             Our $45 application fee and $65 registration/insurance fee are both non-refundable. The registration and insurance fee is paid after acceptance into the school. This fee covers our liability aand accident insurance. One Non CO-OP slot per class is available for parents who wish to participate in the school, but cannot participate in the classroom. This option may help working families take part in our program. A Non CO-OP fee of $30 is paid in addition to the tuition listed above. This fee covers a snack and a substitute for their child's special day. An activity fee of $40 is paid by all members after acceptance to the school. This fee will cover the cost of field trips or special programs that are brought to the school each year. As a not-for-profit preschool, fundraising allows us to keep reasonable tuition and other fees. Each family will have several opportunities throughout the school year to help in our fundraising efforts.

Commitments to the Cooperative:

          Our most frequently asked question is, "How much time will I or my family need to commit to the preschool ?"

          Each parent will participate in the classroom with one of our professional teachers on a rotating basis. A monthly calendar is distributed with your days of participation marked. There are 10 students per class, therefore every 10th class you should expect to be working in the classroom either the teacher. If a field trip or a special activity/party is planned during the month, you may be participating an additional time.

          The teacher will let you know the schedule of the day and where she would like your assistance. You will also bring snack for the class on your special day. Due to allergies of our staff and some children, we are a nut free school. Recommended snack lists will be provided to help make safe choices for our children. As participating parents we clean-up at the end of class after the other children have been dismissed.

          As a cooperative preschool, our members contribute their services to both the administration and operation of the school. Therefore, each participating parent is assigned to one committee each school year.

          Our committee list and duties are provided and range from staff support to maintenance. Each committee has a chairperson who will contact you as needed. If you have talents or interests, please list them on your application.

          Knowledge of this may help place you on a committee that will suit you best.

          Each parent will also participate in one "housecleaning, work day" per year.

          These are held the first Saturday of each month and help us keep our school clean and maintained. A calendar is passed around at our Orientation in August, you may choose a month that works best for your family's schedule.

          There are four mandatory meetings throughout the year for our full membership. Orientation is schedule prior to the start of school. General Membership Meetings are held in October, January and March. These meetings keep you informed of upcoming events and allow us to vote on changes to policy or budget as needed.

          Although these duties may seem numerous when read all at once, they are spread throughout the year and help keep our school running smoothly.
