Barbara Jefferson
I am Barbara Jefferson, and I teach the honeybees, juniors and seniors at Winnie-the-Pooh.
I am a native Virginian, married to a Canadian for 22 years,
with four energetic boys. I am a graduate of George Mason University,
with a degree in Social Work. I was a mental health counselor
for adults for three years before deciding to teach children.
I have taught preschool for more than 15 years, the last nine with Winnie-the-Pooh!
I love teaching at a cooperative preschool. It is a wonderful opportunity
for all of those involved. The children have the benefit of a small group
for their first preschool experience and having mom or dad come in to help out!
The parents have the chance to meet other parents, and see first hand what
their child is doing in preschool. The teacher has the great support of every parent
to make the year the very best for each and every child. I am glad
that you have chosen WTP and look forward to getting to know you.
Please feel free to see me if you have any questions!

Nancy Geier
Welcome to Winnie-the-Pooh Preschool! I am Nancy Geier and have been
with WTP for 15 years. Two of my three children, Joe and Lena, are
WTP alumni and are now 16 and 18. My eldest son Casey is 20.
I attended NOVA and JMU and earned a degree in Special Education and
minored in Psychology. I taught three years in the Loudoun County
Public Schools, and then worked from home and taught community center
classes in order to be home with my children while they were very young.
I've spent most of my life in Virginia and now live in Lucketts, VA
with my husband John Puckett. I hope you enjoy being part of our WTP family!

Caroline Smith
Hi, my name is Caroline Smith, and this will be my third year teaching at Winnie-the-Pooh.
For the last thirteen years I have been living in Ashburn.
I teach both the juniors and seniors. Prior to teaching here,
I had been running my own home childcare/after school program for fourteen years.
I have also worked as a residence camp assistant director,
an educational resource consultant for a summer program
for gifted students and most recently had been substitute teaching
for Loudoun County Schools. I love children of all ages and have three boys of my own.
Two attend Belmont Ridge Middle School, and I have one at
Stone Bridge High School. All of my children went to cooperative
preschools, and my youngest two attended Winnie-the-Pooh!
I have a degree in Political Science from Catholic University of America
and had the privilege of working for Senator Bill Bradley on Capital Hill.
I have continued to take courses through Northern Virginia Community College
in child development and psychology, as well as a variety of other courses.
I am excited to be a part of the cooperative learning experience at Winnie-the-Pooh
and look forward to a fun and enriching year.
